Philharmonia Strings
Philharmonia is a string orchestra for intermediate to advanced players that performs repertoire sourced from the Medium and Medium Advanced String Orchestra libraries. The members are primarily dedicated and disciplined musicians in late elementary, middle, and high school who can demonstrate expression and musicality, including emerging or developed vibrato, and the ability to shift into positions on their instrument. Weekly rehearsals focus on ensemble skills, musicality, precision, connection within the ensemble, and the enjoyment of the music-making process.
Rehearses: Thursdays, 6:30 – 7:30 pm, McAninch Arts Center (MAC)
The McAninch Arts Center (MAC) is located just a few traffic lights away from our previous rehearsal venue at Arrowhead, now at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd, Glen Ellyn.
Performance: Each season will include three performances held at Wentz Concert Hall.
Wentz Concert Hall is located near the corner of Chicago Avenue and Washington Street within the North Central College campus at 171 E. Chicago Ave, Naperville.

Philharmonia repertoire last season included Shine You No More by the Danish String Quartet, Molly on the Shore by Grainger, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik movement 1 by Mozart, and Waltz No. 2 by Shostakovich (Lavender).
