Welcome to Youth Symphony of DuPage’s 60th performance season. With the Music Directors Dr. Mark Liu, Mrs. Carrie Provost, and Mrs. Daryl Silberman, with Chamber Coaches Ms. Jiwon Kim and Mr. Harris Jordan, along with Ken Kazin, the Percussion Coordinator, the Youth Symphony of DuPage is now blazed into the 60th season, providing young musicians opportunities to train and perform with advanced music and to expand their musical and social perspectives while performing for our community with the advanced classical repertoire.  The next season’s concerts are being scheduled. All concerts are performed at Wentz Concert Hall, Naperville, IL. There are a series of three concerts in a performance season, and we just concluded the Winter Concert 2023. Please join us for the upcoming concerts.

DuPage Symphony Orchestra (DSO) – Hosting Our Talented Youth

Sunday, March 19, 2023, 2 PM and 4 PM, Wentz Concert Hall

YSDP Concert Orchestra is privileged to be invited to perform on stage with the Dupage Symphony Orchestra at their concerts on March 19th. Together, they will perform Sibelius’ stirring tone poem Finlandia side-by-side with the DSO.

Featuring a special Guest, Rachel Barton Pine, Graduating Ensemble, YSDP Orchestras, Chamber Ensembles, and the 1st-place winner of the Youth Symphony of DuPage Concerto Competition SymphonyOrchestra 1st-Place Winner, and Graduating Senior Ensembles.

Featured guest player, Rachel Barton Pine (Violinist), is a renowned American classical violinist. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, and began playing the violin at the age of three. Pine made her solo debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at the age of ten and has since performed with many of the world’s most prestigious orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Russian National Orchestra.

In addition to her career as a performer, Pine is also an educator and advocate for classical music. She has recorded over 40 albums, including works by composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, and Niccolo Paganini. She has received numerous awards and honors for her contributions to classical music.
